Marine Coordinator/ Navigator (m/f/x)

Location: At the locations of our customers in the North Sea, Baltic Sea and in Denmark

Employment: 24/7 shift work in 8-12 hour rotation with corresponding time off

Start: By arrangement

You will take over the following tasks

• Wind farm monitoring with AIS-based VTMS observation systems
• Coordination and communication via radio with project vessels and teams on site
• Requesting and approving certificates in the context of personal and vessel registration, including using a permit-to-work system
• Project-related reporting and documentation, e.g. in cooperation with the competent authorities
• Advising our clients on technical nautical issues
• Emergency coordination in accordance with the project emergency plan

You bring preferably with you

• Nautical certificate according to STCW II/1
• Radiotelephone certificate for VHF radio (ROC/GOC)
• Excellent German language skills (native language or C2 level)
• Readiness to travel and to work holidays, weekends and nights
• Excellent English language skills
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility and an independent way of working
• Confident handling of industry standard hardware (TETRA, VHF, ECDIS)
• Experience as Marine Coordinator or Nautical Watch Officer in offshore wind projects is desirable but not mandatory

Ems Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) is a fully-owned subsidiary of the shipping company Aktien-Gesellschaft "EMS", and was established in 2010 to expand the offshore activities of the AG "EMS" Group.

This includes the provision of office, storage and field warehouse capacities as well as parking spaces and berths for service vessels. In the Netherlands, EMO operates the new Heliport and Droneport Eemshaven.

The comprehensive EMO service portfolio is rounded off by maritime coordination, which includes the control of all logistical processes and maritime sea surveillance by the in-house control centre VENTUSmarine.
