Marine Coordinator/ Nautical (m/f/x)

Possible Location: At the locations of our customers at the North Sea, Baltic Sea and in Denmark

Employment: 24/7 shift operation in 8 to 12 hours rotation with corresponding time off in lieu

Start: By arrangement

You will take over the following tasks

• Wind farm monitoring with AIS-based VTMS observation systems
• Coordination and communication via radio with project vessels and teams on site
• Requesting and approving certificates as part of personnel and vessel registration, including using a permit-to-work system 
• Project-related reporting and documentation, including in cooperation with the relevant authorities
• Advising our clients on technical nautical issues
• Emergency coordination via the project emergency plan

You bring preferably with you

• Certificate of Competency (COC) according to STCW II/1
• Radio Operator Certificate for VHF radio (ROC/GOC)
• Excellent English language skills
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility and an independent way of working
• Confident handling of industry standard hardware (TETRA, VHF, ECDIS)
• Readiness to travel and to work holidays, weekends and nights

Ems Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) is a fully-owned subsidiary of the shipping company Aktien-Gesellschaft "EMS", and was established in 2010 to expand the offshore activities of the AG "EMS" Group.

In addition to the standard activities of a certified shipping company, specialising in the particular requirements of offshore wind farms, EMO also provides the comprehensive services required in various service ports close to the wind farm cluster. This includes the provision of office, storage and field warehouse capacities as well as parking spaces and berths for service vessels. In the Netherlands, EMO operates the new Heliport and Droneport Eemshaven.

The comprehensive EMO service portfolio is rounded off by maritime coordination, which includes the control of all logistical processes and maritime sea surveillance by the in-house control centre VENTUSmarine.
